RunoTrio
Programming Suggestions

RunoTrio was inspired by a number of works written for the flute, violin and guitar combination which were composed by several different Estonian composers. This is the main reason why the RunoTrio has a Baltic theme. The original plan was to present a program featuring these esoteric Estonian pieces along with the RunoTrio. Due to unforeseen circumstances, this did not happen. It is the composers hope that someday these works will be programmed together. Below are listed the aforementioned compositions (Eespere’s and Kangro’s works are especially recommended). There are also several duos for flute and guitar as well as violin and guitar which could be included, but it was the trios which served as the catalyst for the composition of the RunoTrio.
